Java Moss
While Java Moss can be slow growing, I have found no better plant for absorbing extra nutrients and making my aquariums more stable. Java Moss tends to grow in a more bunchy style and provides not only a beautiful shade of green, but also an excellent hiding spot for my more timid species. My shrimp hang out in the moss first, as it catches the floating detritus that they love to eat, my celestial pearl danios lay their eggs in the moss for protection, my bettas use it as a resting place, and my guppy fry hide in it.

Floating plants – Salvinia Minima –

Attractive, quick growing floating aquarium plants.
Java Ferns

Java ferns are a staple of most aquariums and therefore are available in most fish stores. They are slow growing, and they grow in low light situations, so they require little care. Perhaps the most important point to remember is that you do not bury the rizome (the bottom stem where the leaves are connected) in your substrate. Instead, they are frequently attached to rocks or driftwood.
Bamboo

Bamboo can add height and dimension to your aquariums, while also pulling extra nutrients from your water column. To keep these plants healthy, do not put the leaves below water, and do not let the roots dry out.
